Hurricane Michael is now a class 4 major hurricane as it hit the Florida panhandle, destroying nearly all of the beachfront town of Mexico City. It currently has winds of up to 50 miles per hour and is expected to increase speed as it travels northward.
It is currently expected to move into the western Atlantic Ocean overnight, with winds and flash-floods expected in parts of North Carolina and Virginia.
Six people have been confirmed to be dead so far from the storm, and authorities fear the death toll may increase as search-and-rescue efforts continue.
